Late March In The Yard

Spring is unfolding fast, hurtling towards summer. Here’s what went on in the last two weeks:

Early Bird Chili Dianthus

Lauren's Grape Poppy
Lauren’s Grape Poppy…they are even more huge now.

I can’t remember the specific name of this grass but it is something along the lines of Bunny Tail grass.

Chris made birdhouses out of some gourds we grew last year. They are hanging from our fig tree; currently no residents.

The grape hyacinth’s are going to seed.

Linaria maroccana
This is a Linaria maroccana that came in our wildflower seed mixture. There are several varieties and colors that have been blooming in our right-of-way. Really a nice plant!

It seems that it is becoming that time of year when it starts to make it difficult to keep up with everything. Most importantly we got our vegetable garden started this weekend and now there are 20 tomatoes planted! Good things coming!
