My hard drive had a “hiccup” last night so I’m coming to you today with a few simple offerings- a photo of my new Cest Bon hibiscus in bloom (it’s struggling a bit because the aphids got it immediately, but with some mist and soap I’m working on the issues), some photos of my Petunias (yes, I am obsessed) and a few quotes that I love about gardening.
“The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul.”
– Alfred Austin
Everything that slows us down and forces patience, everything that sets us back into the slow circles of nature, is a help. Gardening is an instrument of grace.
– May Sarton
“Many things grow in the garden that were never sown there.”
– Thomas Fuller
“Gardens are a form of autobiography.”
– Sydney Eddison
