Busy weekend ahead

I’m hoping for a very productive Saturday coming up in a few days. I acquired some welded wire fencing from the guy across the street that he had leftover from installing a pen for his chickens. I’m hoping to accomplish the same this weekend. We both have discovered that letting the hens roam the entire yard isn’t worth having piles of chicken crap all over the porch.

I’ve been holding onto about 12 pounds of potatoes for the last two weeks. Mainly because I purchased them before they would be sold out. Second, the freakin’ cold weather. Again, Saturday looks to be busy.

Yet another update on the tomato/pepper transplants. Lots going on here.  The top photo has 3 pots missing a plant. I pretty sure a certain little boy got a hold of these. Then the plants in the round containers have had their tops chewed off. Again, a certain little boy. This time of the feline persuasion. The bottom picture shows the unusually large pepper plants.

I’m hoping for another 4 weeks before they go outside. Stephanie wants me to hold off until April 1st. We’ll see.

    April 1st seems late.
