an atypical week (not in the garden)

botanical gardens*1

I tried to get a post together for yesterday but it didn’t happen. Several reasons: our little cat, Milo, was in the animal hospital for a few days last weekend so that threw our week into a little bit of confusion, I accidentally put my iPhone (which is also my camera) into the washing machine with a load of laundry and it appears to be destroyed, and we had a freak wind storm sometime this week which knocked one of the screens out of the lanai enclosure- the screen RIGHT behind some of my plants.

So things are a little … stressful at the moment.

But there is good news- I got a replacement for my iPhone and Milo is back home. The lanai screen is still WIDE open and flapping in the wind, but *fingers crossed* that it will get fixed soon so I can get back to life-as-usual back in the garden.

So, I apologize for the lack of a meaningful post this week about the garden, but I think I’m going to just post a quote, instead:

“How fair is a garden amid the trials and passions of existence.” -Benjamin Disraeli

I’m glad Milo is doing better. Wow, what rough wind to contend with!
